The Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan (RPAP) is an independent not-for-profit company funded by Alberta Health & Wellness. The RPAP was established in 1991 by the Government of Alberta and provides a provincially-focused comprehensive, integrated and sustained program for the education, recruitment and retention of physicians for rural practice.
Since the RPAP's inception an integrated and comprehensive series of initiatives have been implemented using an "education pipeline" strategy.
This website was created to support local Alberta committees in recruiting and retaining physicians.
